ACTS held a three-day virtual students’ orientation last August 12-14, 2020 (Wednesday-Friday) with the aim of: introducing and explaining the ACTS Senior High School programs, services and learning modalities to be dealt on the new normal of education; producing a welcoming atmosphere for the students to know the faculty and staff; and for the better understanding of the academic programs and appreciating the efforts of the institution in dealing with the crisis. The said virtual program was participated by the group of newly enrolled Senior High School (SHS) students from the different Strands: ABM, HUMSS, ICT and STEM.

Graduation day is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the conclusion of an educational journey and the commencement of another more uncertain and more difficult part of a person’s search for a better life and future. Unfortunately, the pandemic that we are experiencing cause prohibition of mass gathering including the traditional commencement exercises all over the country.

Recognition Day is one of the exhilarating events that is being awaited by a lot of students. Their hard works will be paid off, and their achievements will be recognized. ACTS Computer College’s Hatid – Aral sa Barangay is one of its sincerest programs developed as part of embracing the New Normal in Education. It is a manifestation of the genuine love and care of the institution for its stakeholders especially the students. It is a weekly activity which is the institution’s response to Modular Distance Learning approach, which will be very helpful to students who do not have access to internet connection. It is also a best way to support the goal of Department of Education which is providing quality education amidst the ongoing pandemic.

ACTS Computer College always has a genuine care and love for its students as it is sincerely extending its helping hands to them through providing scholarship programs and through having partnership with scholarship providers such as private and government institutions. Last November 5-6, 2020, the institution conducted the Awarding of Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) of the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UNIFAST).

This is the time of sharing, exchanging gifts and even spending their valuable time with one another. In giving life and experiencing the real spirit of this momentous holiday’s celebration the faculty and administrative staff of the said institution had their own version of Christmas Party last December 19, 2019. Each of them got their own-fashioned Coachella Outfit as for the theme of the day.

“There is more Happiness in Giving than in receiving (ACTS 20:35b)” has been the advocacy of ACTS Computer College for the past few years, and this legacy continued last December 10, December 17, and December 18, 2019 at Anibong Elementary School, Pagsanjan, Laguna, Montserrat Subdivision, Barangay Santo Angel Sur, Answering the Cry of the Poor (ANCOP) Luisiana, Laguna and ANCOP Cavinti, Laguna. This advocacy aims to provide felt needs and other services to the less fortunate and to celebrate life and success by giving back to society the blessings that the school received from GOD Almighty.

The Provincial Government of Laguna in cooperation with the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO) held the 2019 Laguna Chorale Festival with a theme, “Himig sa Laguna: Tangkilikin at Ipagmalaki ang Sariling Atin”. The ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) team was again commissioned to be the official tabulator of the said event that was held on December 11, 2019 at the Robinsons Galleria South, San Pedro Laguna. This year’s contestants of the Laguna Choral Festival featured the choral compositions about our Savior Jesus Christ of Mr. Raul Lantican, a renowned composer from Santa Rosa Laguna.

The faculty and staff of ACTS Computer College held its midyear evaluation and planning last October 29, 2019 at the Computer Laboratory 2. It aims to update the employees about the programs of ACTS and to design new strategies and updated plans for the 2nd semester of A.Y. 2019-2020. The said program officially started at around 8:45 a.m. with the worship songs and an opening prayer led Mr. Jerome C. Aguilar. Followed by the National Anthem headed by Ms. Michelle M. Castro.

For the students to live an Excellent Christian Culture of Life, ACTS Computer College conducted its yearly recollection last November 8-9, 2019. It was attended by Grade 11 students together with their advisers. The day was filled with excitement and exuberance, as the students arrived before the registration begun. They waited for the speakers who are members of Youth for Christ (YFC) Laguna Chapter.

Last November 20, 2019, the Cultural Center of Laguna was filled with more than a thousand of attendees for a purpose of conducting one of the milestones of ACTS Computer College, the BITS 2019. It has a theme of “Business Mindset, Technology Innovation and Leadership in the 21st Century.”

The College Department of ACTS Computer College celebrated their annual Acquaintance Party/Halloween Party with the theme of “Together Everyone Achieves More” held at Ted’s Kitchen Pila, Laguna last October 30, 2019. The main aim of this event was to provide an avenue and opportunity for the new members of the ACTS family to get acquainted with their schoolmates, make new friends and be an authentic member of ACTS Kapamilya.

“Teachers are not just teachers they are God’s Gift who took such big part in someone’s life.” It is indeed without them people may never be on the place where they are now. As part of honoring teachers, this year, ACTS Computer College celebrated the World Teacher’s Month which started on September 5, 2019- October 5, 2019, a month of celebration.

“Kumain ng Wasto at Maging Aktibo…Push Natin to” was the 2019 Nutrition Month theme. This theme advocates the importance of having and practicing a healthy lifestyle. Relative to this, ACTS Computer College held a three-day activity which happened on July 22-24, 2019. The said dates were the particular schedule for the competitions: the Poster Slogan Making Contest, the Cooking and Salad Making Contest and the Jingle Making Contest. Each category was participated by the students of Grade 11 and Grade 12 Senior High School students.

ACTS Computer College held the much awaited face to face of both parties for the position of Supreme Student Government Officers for the year 2019. This event was conducted last July 5, 2019 at the covered court of the Monserrat Subdivision which aimed the fair voting and democratic process of the students as they decide on whom to vote for a certain position.

Acquaintance is a time of the year where students can relax, enjoy each other’s company, dance, sing and party. Most of all, it is the time for the students, faculty and staff to mingle and to bond as one. It was also one of the most anticipated and most awaited events of the Senior High School students. The said event was held last July 26, 2019 at Laguna Sports Complex, Brgy. Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna from 12 noon to 5:30 in the afternoon. The unpredictable weather and the warm ambiance of the venue did not stop the ACTSTISTAS to attend the party and did not lessen their excitement. They were warmly welcomed by the ACTS Kapamilya especially the SHS Faculty and Staff. The main aim of this activity was to build the sense of camaraderie, love and unity among the Grade 11 and Grade 12 students.

In relation with the goal of the specialized subject Community Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship which is to integrate applied social sciences into community-action initiatives, last October 8 – 11, 2019 Community outreach program was held at Montserrat Subdivision, Brgy. Sto. Angel Sur, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. With the support of dear ACTS Family and cooperation of HUMSS 12 students, as well as the partnering Barangay it was indeed a success.

In line with the objective of the institution to be part of Filipino nation in celebrating our own culture, heritage, and identity and to showcase God – given talents of the ACTStistas, ACTS Computer College held its Sining, Indak at Galaw (SINAG/ Convocation) 2019 at Laguna Sports Complex, Sta. The event was held last September 26, 2019 at the Pagsanjan Town Plaza. This prestigious pageant featured ten (10) lovely ladies and ten (10) good looking gentlemen. The Provincial Government of Laguna through the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade office held the 4th Laguna Folk Dance Competition with a theme, “Katutubong sayaw Pagyamanin, Tangkilikin Sariling Atin”. It was held on the 8th day of November 2019, at the Cultural Center of Laguna. This Competition showcased talented cultural performers all over the province.

On the 30th day of August, the provincial government of Laguna showcased the amazing talents and creativity of the tattoo artists of Laguna in "The Second Laguna Tattoo Competition" with a theme "Tatu:Tatak ng Kasaysayan" in cooperation with the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO). ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) team was again commissioned by the LTCATO to be the official tabulator in the Tattoo competition. The said competition was in celebration of the "Buwan ng Wika" and "Buwan ng Kasaysayan", held at the Cultural Center of Laguna.

ACTS Computer College conducted the Parents’ Orientation last June 8, 2019 at the Lecture Hall. It aimed to explain and to giveclear information about the Senior High School and its programs, the important school policies, the Academic Information and the administrative concerns. The orientation was divided into four sessions. Parents of the ABM, STEM, and ICT students were the attendees on the morning session and parents of the HUMSSstudents attended the afternoon session.

In the celebration of National Teachers’ Month, the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO) invited teachers from every part of the province for the My Teachers Can Duet “My Teacher, My Hero” Singing Competition. The contest was held last October 1, 2018 at the Cultural Center of Laguna, Santa Cruz, Laguna and was participated by nineteen competing pairs singing OPM from 1990 to 2000. The champion and runners up were chosen by reputable jurors headed by Mr. Renier Aguilar, Choir Master at Rizal Technological University and worked at Chorus Vocales Philippines. Mr. Angel Rey T. Lapay and Ms. Christine C. Dumancas, teachers from San Pedro City of the First District of Laguna, were later announced as the Grand Champions who received cash prize and plaque. The ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) team was again commissioned by LTCATO to be the Official Tabulator for this event. The successful tabulation rendered by the AIM team is now heading them for more milestones through the experiences gained from consecutive invitations from the Provincial Government of Laguna. Being part of every successful event led by LTACATO is another step added to the level of learning for the ACTS Information Management Team.
