The College Department of ACTS Computer College celebrated their annual Acquaintance Party/Halloween Party with the theme of “Together Everyone Achieves More” held at Ted’s Kitchen Pila, Laguna last October 30, 2019. The main aim of this event was to provide an avenue and opportunity for the new members of the ACTS family to get acquainted with their schoolmates, make new friends and be an authentic member of ACTS Kapamilya.
The program started with an opening prayer from Mr. Jerome C. Aguilar, one of the faculty members, followed by the singing of national anthem and ACTS Hymn led by Mr. Lemmuel B. Lacbay, also a faculty member of the institution. A special number from the faculty and staff of the College Department boosted up the excitement felt during the moment. It was followed by an inspiring welcoming remarks given by the College President/Director of ACTS Computer College, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao. The next part was the oath taking of the newly – elected officers of ACTS Student Council as well as the elected officers of the different departments and non - academic organizations. Exciting games were prepared and officiated by two of the faculty members of the College Department, Mrs. Maricris Amoloza and Ms. Abiekhay Camillee Lavastida. Also, raffle prizes were also given during the said activity. Selected college students delighted everyone with their song and dance numbers.
Some attendees of the party were on their Halloween costumes which added a sense of terrifying, however enjoyable ambiance on the venue. Relative to this, the search for the best costume, scariest costume and faces of the night took place in the middle of the fun. It was Engr. Randie Ian Villatuya, the acting Head of the Department of Computer Studies, who expressed the sincerest gratitude to all who participated in the party. It was followed by the closing prayer led by Mr. Ryan Obis.
Indeed, the Acquaintance Party was another success story for ACTS Computer College. It seemed that all the students enjoyed, felt the love and sense of belongingness as they became official members of the ACTS Family.
