To warmly welcome and to properly orient the new and old students of ACTS Computer College in embracing the new normal in education, the institution held its first ever Virtual Students’ and Parents’ Orientation last October 3, 2020, from 8:00 in the morning until 12 o’ clock in the afternoon with the aid of technological advancement. It was conducted via Zoom application. It was attended by all College students together with their parents who are considered as new members of the ACTS Family.

The said activity was divided into sessions. The first session was attended by the students and parents from the Department of Business Management and the second session was for the Department of Information Technology. The activity started with an opening prayer and singing of the national anthem. A warm and meaningful welcoming remarks was given by the College President/Director of ACTS Computer College, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao, MBA, MM. It was Dr. Adoree A. Ramos who served as the first speaker and talked about the details about the Academic Policies of the institution’s College Department. The next speaker was Engr. Randie Ian A. Villatuya who discussed about ACTS Flexible Learning Program. It was Prof. Abiekhay Camillee U. Lavastida who served as the third speaker. She discussed about the ways on how to conduct the Synchronous and Asynchronous Sessions in Online Learning modality, Students’ Evaluation and Assessments. The last speaker was Dr. Eric P. Castillo who focused on Resources and Students’ Support Services, the Roles of the Parents, Synchronous Video Conferencing Etiquettes and Academic Integrity. The program concluded with the students’ prayer and closing prayer.

Students who attended the said orientation are now ready to take off as official students of the school and now fully equip with the ample information which will help them in adapting the challenges of the New Normal in Education and to be well-versed with the Excellent Christian Culture of ACTS Computer College.
