ACTS Computer College Convocation 2019

In line with the objective of the institution to be part of Filipino nation in celebrating our own culture, heritage, and identity and to showcase God – given talents of the ACTStistas, ACTS Computer College held its Sining, Indak at Galaw (SINAG/ Convocation) 2019 at Laguna Sports Complex, Sta. Cruz, Laguna last August 31, 2019 with the theme, “Wikang KAtutubo : “Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino”. Mr. John Steven Bacube and Ms. Leanne Balite hosted this activity.

The said event was participated by the Senior High School students which were served as the participants of the different competitions involved. College students and all the faculty and staff of the school were also the attendees of this day. There were three competing groups for Convocation 2019 : Pangkat Rizal, Pangkat Balagtas and Pangkat Quezon. They were all enthusiastically prepared for different categories such as Modern Dance and Folk Dance Competition, Spoken Poetry Competition, Maramihang Tinig and Sabayang Pagbigkas.

The formal program started with an opening prayer which was led by Mr. Rowell Condino and followed by the singing of the national anthem and ACTS Hymn by the ACTS Algorythm. It was then followed by warm messages from the beloved President/Director of ACTS Computer College, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao. Another inspirational message was given by the SHS Principal, Dr. Eric P. Castillo. Introduction of the judges and criteria for judging was the next part of the program. All the participants gave their bests, put their hearts in every competition and became winners in their own ways.

The outstanding college students were recognized during the program as the Dean’s Listers were called. After all the competing teams performed, the announcement of winners was held. It was the Pangkat Rizal headed by the SHS Advisers namely Ms. Abiekhay Camillee Lavastida, Mr. Lemmuel Lacbay, Mr. Ariel Tobias, Mr. Rowell Condino, Ms. Leanne Balite and Ms. Denniela Alias was the declared the Overall Champion of Convocation 2019. The program ended with the closing remarks from one of the chairpersons, Ms. Eizalyn Manalo and a closing prayer by Ms. Michelle Castro.

Truly, this event is not merely a competition but a family competition which made everyone realized that ACTS Computer College students are not only equipped with the intellectual abilities but also blessed with amazing skills and talents.
