Recognition Day is one of the exhilarating events that is being awaited by a lot of students. Their hard works will be paid off, and their achievements will be recognized. Relative to this, ACTS Computer College held its very first Virtual Recognition Day last September 5, 2020, with a theme of: “Sulong EduKalidad: Championing the Nation’s Future.” Truly, amidst pandemic, the school cannot be stopped in its goal to acknowledge excellence and to provide an environment that encourages positive outcomes for all students in every sphere of learning.

The program started with an invocation led by Mrs. Moriela K. Mercado. Next, the singing of the National Anthem through a video presentation, and the ACTS hymn by Ms. Manzyel Joy De Lilla. Then, the Senior High School Principal – Dr. Eric P. Castillo, delivered his very motivational and heartfelt opening remarks, which encouraged the students to never stop believing in their selves, to pursue their dreams with a sincere, lovable and faithful heart, and also to put GOD in the center of everything they do, which would result to their ultimate success, that is anchored in the bible verse: Philippians 4:8. Following this was the highlight of the program, the Recognition of Grade 11 Honor students which was led by Ms. Maria Lourdes Monteramos. The first group of students who was awarded came from Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand. Followed by the students from Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand. Next, Information Communication Technology (ICT) strand, and lastly, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) strand. After this exciting part, the program continued by letting the students watched the glimpse of the ACTS’ Activities and Programs for the School Year 2019-2020, which made them looked back and reminisced of the joyful happenings that had happened in pursuit of their dreams. As the program came to an end, Ms. Hannah Zsanice Maulawin led the students in a closing prayer.

Indeed, recognition day is not the end but a beginning to a new horizon of every student’s career. May they continue to hope for their future, be strong and courageous, persevere, believe in what they are capable of, and have faith in what GOD can extraordinarily do in their lives upon making Him the center of their journey towards successful career for life.

To GOD be the Glory!
