ACTS Computer College conducted the Parents’ Orientation last June 8, 2019 at the Lecture Hall. It aimed to explain and to give clear information about the Senior High School and its programs, the important school policies, the Academic Information and the administrative concerns. The orientation was divided into four sessions. Parents of the ABM, STEM, and ICT students were the attendees on the morning session and parents of the HUMSS students attended the afternoon session.
The said event started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Abiekhay Camillee U. Lavastida then followed by the singing of the National Anthem which was sung by Ms. Michelle M. Castro. Subsequently, a heartfelt opening remark was given by the SHS Principal, Dr. Eric P. Castillo. He warmly welcomed the parents of the Senior High School students. Afterwards, the first speaker was introduced, who was Mrs. Maricris A. Amoloza, one of SHS Faculty. She talked about the Orientation Information: Your School and Program Offerings, About the Senior High School and the Voucher Program. Next to her, was a talk presented by the Assistant Principal of the Senior High School, Prof. Adeline Z. Davac. She delivered a talk about the Academic Information: Introduction of the SHS Faculty and Staff, Learning in Senior High School, Senior High School Subjects, Schedule of Classes, Grading System, Clubs and Organizations and the Calendar of Activities. She was followed by Mr. Lemmuel B. Lacbay, another SHS faculty and the last speaker, who explained about the school rules and regulations that the students must take note of and bear with it. The three speakers gave sustainable information to all the parents who attended thesaid orientation.
This activity is a great bridge for the good partnership of the parents to the institution. It will serve as an assurance of the good cooperation and commitment that they will be having all throughout the school year. ACTS Computer College is hoping that this will be the best way on the achievement of the institutional goals for the well being of the stakeholder.
