The Provincial Government of Laguna through the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade office held the 4th Laguna Folk Dance Competition with a theme, “Katutubong sayaw Pagyamanin, Tangkilikin Sariling Atin”. It was held on the 8th day of November 2019, at the Cultural Center of Laguna. This Competition showcased talented cultural performers all over the province. The contestants of the different categories: Elementary Category, High School Category and Open Category, showed their exceptional talents and passion in Folk dancing. The competition aims to enrich and promote our history and culture especially to the young generation. These young generation will be knowledgeable that before the different dances we know today – hiphop, modern dance and other kinds of dances that are adapted from other countries, we have our own “Folk dance” showing part of our history and culture that we must truly be proud of and show to the world. The ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) Team was again grateful to be commissioned as the Official Tabulator of the 4th Laguna Folk Dance Competition. The team was hopeful to continue witnessing more celebration of our rich Philippine culture and looking forward for more opportunities to be part of such event. To GOD be the Glory.
