Graduation day is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the conclusion of an educational journey and the commencement of another more uncertain and more difficult part of a person’s search for a better life and future. Unfortunately, the pandemic that we are experiencing cause prohibition of mass gathering including the traditional commencement exercises all over the country. Nevertheless, nothing can stop the most awaited ceremony of every graduating student, hence, the ACTS Computer College conducted the 30th COMMENCEMENT VIRTUAL COLLEGE GRADUATION with the theme: "Sharing Education and Providing Technical Expertise for Global Competitiveness”, for the first time in its over 33 years of existence.
A total of 16 candidates participated in the memorable virtual ceremony via Facebook live streaming in the official page of ACTS Computer College. The online event was held last August 22, 2020 at 1:30 pm. It was hosted by one of the Senior High School teachers, Ms. Ma. Lourdes Monteramos.
The virtual graduation ceremony started with an opening prayer led by Mr. Lemuel B. Lacbay followed by the National Anthem. The College President/Director of ACTS Computer College, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao, MBA, MM, then gave a heartfelt welcoming and inspiring message for the graduating students together with their guardians, colleagues and everybody watching the virtual ceremony.
This was then followed by the presentation of the candidates for graduation and the conferment of the degrees and certificates led by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Maria Luz P. Salvador and the College President/Director of ACTS Computer College, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao, MBA, MM, respectively.
The presentation of the candidates for graduation and the conferment of the degrees and certificates was succeeded by the recognition of the students who had exerted exemplary efforts and dedication to excel in the previous academic year. Engr. Randie Ian Villatuya presented the Dean's Listers and Outstanding Graduating Students for A. Y. 2019-2020.
And finally, the 16 candidates were proclaimed as officially graduates by Head of the Department of Computer Studies, Engr. Randie Ian Villatuya followed by the pledge of loyalty and the induction of ACTS Alumni members led by Ms. Lindsay Coroza, Associate of Business Administration graduate and Dr. Adoree A. Ramos, head of the Department of Business Administration, respectively.
The virtual event concluded at 2:30 pm. The ACTS Computer College 30th COMMENCEMENT VIRTUAL COLLEGE GRADUATION was indeed another success story of the institution. Congratulations to all the graduates and to
