“Kumain ng Wasto at Maging Aktibo…Push Natin to” was the 2019 Nutrition Month theme. This theme advocates the importance of having and practicing a healthy lifestyle. Relative to this, ACTS Computer College held a three-day activity which happened on July 22-24, 2019. The said dates were the particular schedule for the competitions: the Poster Slogan Making Contest, the Cooking and Salad Making Contest and the Jingle Making Contest. Each category was participated by the students of Grade 11 and Grade 12 Senior High School students.

On July 22, 2019, Monday, the day for the competition of the Poster-Slogan making contest. There were 18 students coming from different strands who showed how skillful and artistic they were. They were given two hours to finish the said activity. Out from the computed criteria, a Grade 12 student from Humanities and Social Sciences Strand got the place. Congratulations to Ms. Claire Ann B. Gonzaga.

Then on the next day, the selected students from different strands competed for the cooking and salad making contest. Each of them prepared their best recipe. For cooking part, they were only allowed to choose two among these main ingredients: Malunggay, Bitter Gourd, Lady’s Finger, Tomato and Squash. Then, for salad making contest ingredients, it was their choice. All were served and explained well but among these two groups stood out because of their unique food presentation. For Grade 11 category, the representatives from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics was on the top list. Congratulations to Ms. Shenna Nicole V. Calcetas, Ms. Shane Alex R. Dela Cruz and Ms. Nijah Migdalel A. Mendoza. Also, the Grade 12 - students of Accountancy, Business and Management strand marked the first place. Well done Ms. Arwilyn T. Bonbon, Ms. Alyssa Mae U. Cueto and Ms. Mary Ann O. Eran. It was truly an applauding achievement.

For the last activity, the jingle making contest, the students submitted their own composed jingle relevant to the theme. The videos were compiled on the exact date, July 24, 2019. Each jingle was watched and evaluated based on the set criteria. Hours passed, the scores have finally computed. Congratulations to the participants of the ICT strand. As part of being the winner for that category, their own-made jingle was played and been watched during the Acquaintance Party.

This three-day activity, definitely engaged the students into the activities which developed the students sense of awareness to a healthy lifestyle and sound eating habits. Once again CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners and a heartwarming thanks to all people who became the reason of the success of this celebration.

To GOD be the Glory.
