The 10th Maria Carpena Kundiman Song Festival: ACTS Information Management Team as the Official Tabulator

The Provincial Government of Laguna through the Laguna, Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO) held the 10th Maria Carpena Kundiman Song Festival on the 26th day of August 2019, to commemorate the 133rd Birth Anniversary of the Nightingale of Filipino Zarzuela, Maria Evangelista Carpena. The ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) Team was again fortunate and grateful to be part of this event as the official tabulator of the 10th Maria Carpena Kundiman Song Festival.

The program started with an opening prayer and followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Before the competition started, different speakers gave their messages to the audience and to the contestants. To let the audience know more about the person behind the celebration, a video presentation of the amazing life and journey of Maria Evangelista Carpena was shown. Also, a video showing presentation that highlighted the 9th Maria Carpena Kundiman Song Festival 2018 which was also attended by the Acts Computer College Information Management (AIM) Team was shown before the competition started. The competition on the 10th Maria Carpena Kundiman Song Festival contained four categories: Elementary Category, High School Category, Open Category and Seniors Category which were participated by the people with extremely amazing talents especially to Kundiman songs.

The program and the tabulation of scores went well and successful. Before the announcement of winners, all the contestants from different categories presented a song number that truly captivated the heart of the audience not just because of their voices but also because of the love and dedication they had to Kundiman songs. ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) Team was honored to witness and be part of this event. The team was hoping and looking forward to witness more celebration of our history, and appreciative to continue to take part of different events.
