Teacher’s Day Celebration: A Day to Remember

“Teachers are not just teachers they are God’s Gift who took such big part in someone’s life.” It is indeed without them people may never be on the place where they are now. As part of honoring teachers, this year, ACTS Computer College celebrated the World Teacher’s Month which started on September 5, 2019- October 5, 2019, a month of celebration.

It was on October 5, 2019 when the whole family of ACTS went to the SHERCON Resort and Ecology Park which was located in Batangas for the celebration of teacher’s day. It was a day of say-NO to work and YES to a restful day. The trip took only an hour and some minutes going to the destined location. It was at around 9:00 am when the ACTS Family arrived at the said place. Everybody got amazed with the view and they started to feel its fresh air. Few minutes passed, they started the celebration with the worship songs then followed by the prayer led by Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao. After that, the food were blessed and ready to serve. They had their meal for breakfast. Minutes passed, some decided to go around at the place to check how beautiful it was. It was definitely such a cool place. The place has numerous pools and the best one was the infinity pool. Some even tried to go at the place of team building activities. It was quite far from each other but then no worries at all because everyone got the chance to visit each place with the help of the shuttle service.

Hours passed, everybody was called to go back to their venue to have their lunch. After resting for some minutes, some decided to try the maze runner at Shercon. It was a game of girls vs. boys. Ma’am Edna, Ma’am Isay, Ma’am Maricris, Ma’am Castro and Ma’am Malou were the representatives of the Girl’s Team and Sir Ian, Sir Ninyo, Sir Toby, Si Paul and Sir Ryan were for the Boy’s Team. The game has started and the girls were the winner. They received a cash prize from Ma’am Elma. It was actually fun yet tiring because the feeling was different if you were inside the maze. After that, all decided to take some rest and some dipped into the pool. It was near 4 p.m. when everyone decided to leave the place. The whole family of ACTS were very thankful for this such experience at Shercon Resort and Ecology park.

Before heading home, all together agreed to go at SM Lipa. They were as if like kids who were clapping their hands and some were even jumping in joy because Ma’am Elma and Sir Ruben said that after going around the mall they would go to the eat-all-you-can restaurant, the Cabalen. The food were prepared deliciously. Then at around 7 o’clock, everyone bought something for their family and afterwards they left the said place.

All were truly grateful for having this such celebration. Thanks to the parents of ACTS family, Mrs. Elma M. Macalinao and Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao. A deepest gratitude for this unforgettable day of relaxation and a well spent bonding time for this family. To all teachers out there, thumbs up for rendering such service of great passion.
