ACTS COMPUTER COLLEGE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SHS) DEPARTMENT VIRTUAL PARENTS’ ORIENTATION 2020

ACTS Computer College first Virtual Parents’ Orientation was held August 15, 2020 via Zoom app. The institution is committed in having great partnership with all its stakeholders especially with the parents. This activity also aimed to equip the parents with knowledge about the new normal in education for them to be well-prepared in supporting their children.

Attendees of the said orientation were the parents of the incoming Grade 11 students. An opening prayer initiated the program followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the ACTS Hymn. The College President/Director of ACTS Computer College, Prof. Ruben F. Macalinao, MBA, MM officially welcomed the parents with his heartfelt message. The first speaker was Dr. Eric P. Castillo who discussed about the Senior High School Voucher Program. Mrs. Maricris A. Amoloza was the second speaker who discussed about the schedule of classes and Precautionary Measures to Observe in The New Normal of Education. She was then followed by Prof. Abiekhay Camillee U. Lavastida who explained about the Learning Modalities in the New Normal. The last speaker was Prof. Adeline Z. Davac who introduced and explained the ACTS Virtual Learning Environment (ACTS - VLE), the learning management system developed by ACTS Computer College. After the talks, the faculty and staff of ACTS SHS Department were introduced via video presentation. The program concluded with the prayer of the parents and closing prayer led by Ms. Denniella A. Alias.

This program ensured that everyone especially the parents are much ready to embrace the new normal of education by providing them the necessary information to be dealt with. Indeed, it is another activity reflecting the sincerest love and concern of the institution to all its stakeholders.
