In the celebration of National Teachers’ Month, the Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO) invited teachers from every part of the province for the My Teachers Can Duet “My Teacher, My Hero” Singing Competition. The contest was held last October 1, 2018 at the Cultural Center of Laguna, Santa Cruz, Laguna and was participated by nineteen competing pairs singing OPM from 1990 to 2000. The champion and runners up were chosen by reputable jurors headed by Mr. Renier Aguilar, Choir Master at Rizal Technological University and worked at Chorus Vocales Philippines. Mr. Angel Rey T. Lapay and Ms. Christine C. Dumancas, teachers from San Pedro City of the First District of Laguna, were later announced as the Grand Champions who received cash prize and plaque.

The ACTS Computer College Information Management (AIM) team was again commissioned by LTCATO to be the Official Tabulator for this event. The successful tabulation rendered by the AIM team is now heading them for more milestones through the experiences gained from consecutive invitations from the Provincial Government of Laguna. Being part of every successful event led by LTACATO is another step added to the level of learning for the ACTS Information Management Team. Looking forward for more future engagements together with the Laguna Provincial Government, ACTS Computer College extends the heartfelt gratitude to the dearest teachers who treat learners as their own children, who devote themselves to the lifelong mission of combatting illiteracy, who work above and beyond the call of duty and for their loyal service, and dedicated commitment in developing globally competitive learners, strengthening communities, and building the nation.
